How can stakeholder engagement sessions foster collaboration and co-creation of solutions for complex social issues?
Colabs is a philanthropic initiative pioneered by the National Volunteer and Philanthropy Centre (NVPC) and the Community Foundation of Singapore (CFS) to drive collaboration by bringing together the public, private, and social sectors to tackle complex social issues.
For its 6th iteration, NVPC commissioned Rhindon to design and facilitate 5 engagement sessions with stakeholders around the lower-income space in Singapore. The series aimed to connect different stakeholders within the lower-income ecosystem and kick-start the building of a trusted community where stakeholders can continue to develop meaningful solutions to improve the quality of life for lower-income families.
OUR APPROACH
We designed a series of 5 workshops across 2.5 months to engage different stakeholders based on NVPC Colabs' framework of Align, Learn, and Act.
Each session was uniquely curated so that participants from various sectors could build a common understanding of the issues and their complexity, align towards a common vision of an ideal future state, and then co-create solutions together. By leveraging similar interests, we facilitated the formation of partnerships to bring their ideas to life.
Our approach also included comprehensive ecosystem mapping to identify key issues, opportunities, and stakeholders, ensuring that all voices were heard and integrated into the collaborative process. Our team’s expertise in large-scale facilitation and ecosystem mapping ensured that each workshop was productive and focused, enabling diverse stakeholders to contribute effectively and collaboratively.
OUR VALUE
We connected over 141 leaders from 85 different organisations to share their experiences and knowledge, resulting in the identification of 6 key solution spaces for collaboration.
The tangible outcomes of these sessions include developing a public report to inform funders about where and who to fund and providing valuable insights on existing system issues and strategies moving forward. This report features a consolidated Systems Map, a Family Experience Map, and key recommendations that offer a roadmap for future actions.
Our team’s ability to foster deep engagement and collaboration among a wide range of stakeholders ensured that the solutions developed were both innovative and actionable. This project not only highlighted our strength in ecosystem redesign but also demonstrated our capacity to create transformative visions that drive real-world impact.
